As Head of Development, Jessica Lee oversees the strategy, origination, packaging and pitching of all non-scripted shows at BHP, including managing the relationships with buyers and talents from the US to Asia. Jessica has been involved in selling many of BHP’s most high profile documentary and unscripted programming such as the Emmy nominated lifestyle series MIND YOUR MANNERS (Netflix), true crime limited series THE RAINCOAT KILLER (Netflix), feature length human interest doc BEST DOG INDIA (Netflix), science series EVOLVE (Curiosity, Amazon Prime), natural history series OTTER DYNASTY (Max, Discovery+, Love Nature). Jessica was a producer on THE RAINCOAT KILLER, Netflix’s first Top 5 Korean true crime series and is currently producing another true crime feature documentary for Netflix. Jessica recently directed SECRET LIVES OF TREES, a top rating factual series for Channel NewsAsia. Before joining BHP, Jessica worked at VICE’s production office in China, researching award-winning shows for Netflix, National Geographic Channel, Discovery Channel and more. Jessica directed a WOMEN IN HISTORY series for the National Library Board of Singapore, and is the only Singaporean awarded the FreedomFilmFest for directing THE SHADES OF LOVE, a documentary on sex workers in Singapore.
